At Pura Vida Dental, our mission is to provide ethical, high-quality dentistry in a family-run environment where every patient is treated like one of our own.

Established in 2019 by Dr Torsten Moehl and Kim Moehl, we are dedicated to delivering preventative, holistic care for patients of all ages—from little ones taking their first steps into dental care to adults seeking long-term oral health.

Kim, owner and receptionist at Pura Vida Dental, takes great pride in creating a welcoming and friendly environment for every patient. She is passionate about ensuring the practice runs smoothly with professionalism, care and attention to detail.

Outside of work, Kim enjoys swimming in nearby lakes, walking in the Chilterns with her dog and spending time with her family.

Kaye is the the newly appointed CQC Registered Practice Manager at Pura Vida Dental. She began her career as a dental nurse in 2018 and progressed to Treatment Coordinator before stepping into management in 2021. Throughout her journey, her focus has always been on patients—ensuring they have all the information and support they need—while also looking after our practice team and maintaining the smooth running of the business. Kaye is constantly working behind the scenes to keep everything running efficiently and to support both patients and staff.

Kaye’s approach to work is relaxed and stress-free, as she believes that creating a positive environment allows everyone to achieve their best.

Outside of work, Kaye enjoys tackling home renovation projects and immersing herself in a good Netflix series.

Dr Elizabeth Hipwell (Liz)

Liz graduated from St Bartholomew’s and the Royal London School of Medicine and Dentistry in 1991. She completed her vocational training in East London in a mixed NHS and private practice, where she remained for a further three years.
Liz has worked in general practice across Surrey and Kent, spending 25 years in Thame with a special interest in periodontics, gerodontics and minimally invasive dentistry. She joined Pura Vida Dental as a dental hygienist in November 2025, bringing extensive experience and a calm, reassuring approach to patient care.

Her focus is on preventing and treating periodontal disease, supporting patients to improve their oral health, and helping nervous patients feel comfortable and confident during their visits.

Outside of work, Liz enjoys playing the violin in local orchestras.

Faye Horton

Lauren Bourke

Trainee Dental Nurse

Faye is one of our experienced dental nurses with over five years in the dental industry. Throughout her career, she has worked across both NHS and private practices, giving her a broad range of clinical experience and a strong understanding of patient care in different settings.

Faye is passionate about helping patients feel comfortable and supported throughout their visit. Known for her calm and friendly approach, she takes pride in creating a welcoming environment and ensuring each patient receives the highest standard of care.

Outside of work, Faye enjoys spending time with friends and being out in nature walking her dog.

Lauren is currently training to become a dental nurse, combining her caring nature with a passion for patient support, organisation and clinical teamwork. She enjoys learning new skills every day, particularly those that help patients feel comfortable and supported while contributing to a safe and welcoming dental environment.

Outside of work, Lauren enjoys going to the gym to stay active and loves cooking as a way to relax and get creative, whether she’s experimenting with new recipes or perfecting her favourites.
